Below – 02/09/1953 – Dundee Courier – Brick machine manufactured by James Mitchell & Co was assembled at Bannockburn and despatched to England.

1968 – Herbertshire Brick Works, Denny – The site had a Mitchell plastic brick making machine. 1 Hoffman circular kiln which was converted to a Belgian kiln with a firing temp of 1300c. It had 18 chambers. It also at one stage had a tunnel kiln with 90 cars and a firing temp of 1350c.
Below – Unknown date – The brick making machine at the Furness Brick & Tile Co Ltd, Askam was manufactured by James Mitchell & Son of Cambuslang. It is seen here hard at work producing traditional frogged bricks at a rate of several thousand per hour.

Below – Unknown date – Bargeddie Brickworks, Glasgow. Part of the downdraft kiln at Dewar & Finlays Works. Also depicted a plastic – clay brick making machines at Bargeddie. The one on the right was made by James Mitchell and Son Cambuslang.
