Below – 13/10/1937 – The Scotsman – John and R Finlay propose new brickworks at Whistleberry.
Below – 26/08/1938 – The Scotsman – John and R. D Finlay to erect new brick works at Hamilton on the site of the former Whistleberry Colliery. The site has been purchased from the town council of Hamilton.
c. 1950 – The 1985 publication ‘A survey of Scottish brickmarks’ suggests that Raeburn Brick Co Ltd took over the works around this time.
1961 – 1962 – Directory of British Clay Products and Manufacturers – Whistleberry Brickworks Ltd, Whistleberry Road, Blantyre, Lanarkshire. Tel Blantyre 3185. Composition bricks.
