Below – Very similar stamp on a bullnose brick found by George Kennedy in the Carluke area. Note the upside down ‘T’ and the reversed ‘E’.
Below – Similar stamp on a brick found in Glenboig but the ‘O’ is slightly rounder and the letters are slightly broader.
Found by Eddie Mclean in the Glasgow area. I believe CIC stands for Coltness Iron Company – CIC is followed by 4SA or similar and the ‘B’ is marked at an angle to the rest of the mark Mayfield Brickworks, Carluke, Lanarkshire.
