Below – Virtually the same stamp on a brick found by Michael Perkins at Granton, Edinburgh although the spacing of the letters is slightly different. Note also the positioning of the screws holding the stamping plate which are differently placed from the above bricks and there are also 2 raised nodules on this example. (Note – SBH – I believe this example may also have a faint stamp to the other side of the brick but this has not been photographed).

The brick is in the possession of Mary Falconer. Mary states ” It came from the Main Stand at Tynecastle Park which was demolished recently. The Main Stand was originally built in 1914″ Cleghorn Brickworks, Cleghorn, Lanarkshire. The brick is stamped, in raised letters, “Cleghorn Terracotta Ld Glasgow” . . .
