This stunning chimney is in the possession of Ian Suddaby and was found in the Falkirk area. It is 4′ 6″ tall. Loudon & Russell, Allanton Fireclay Works, Newmains, Wishaw. . . . . . Below – The same stamp but this one was ‘broken’ before firing and repaired which has led to duplicate letters.

Found in Leyden Place, Bonnyrigg in 1975 and donated by Nick Basden. Cleghorn Brickworks, Cleghorn, Lanarkshire. This is a shaped brick. The Cleghorn stamp is very poorly stamped but it is most definitely a Cleghorn. What is intersting is that the letters VI H have been stamped to the ‘rear’ and they seem to take…

The brick is in the possession of Mary Falconer. Mary states ” It came from the Main Stand at Tynecastle Park which was demolished recently. The Main Stand was originally built in 1914″ Cleghorn Brickworks, Cleghorn, Lanarkshire. The brick is stamped, in raised letters, “Cleghorn Terracotta Ld Glasgow” . . .
