These bricks were found by Denis Foulem along the Bathurst harbour seashore, located in the province of New Brunswick in Canada. Found at Oakvale, Livingston. Darnley Fireclay Works, Nitshill, Glasgow (Allan Kirkwood). This brick does not appear to have been manufactured from fireclay. It is entirely possible that the Darnley Fireclay Works were also manufacturing composite bricks from local shale or blaise waste. This stunning chimney is in the possession of Ian Suddaby and was found in the Falkirk area. It is 4′ 6″ tall. Loudon & Russell, Allanton Fireclay Works, Newmains, Wishaw. . . . . . Below – The same stamp but this one was ‘broken’ before firing and repaired which has led to duplicate letters.
