G Turnbull C Dykehead 3/4

Unusually I am posting a ‘brickmark’ post without a photo of the brickmark.

During research into the Cruden Bay Brick Works, Aberdeenshire I ascertained from RCAHMS that they hold a brick ‘rubbing’ of a brick recovered at the site and it reads ‘Turnbull, Dykehead’

George Turnbull Company,  Dykehead fire clay works, Bonnybridge, Falkirk.

G Turnbull C Dykehead 3/4

The brickmark is designed in the mode of the Starworks bricks and others.
