Found by Tucker Kennedy in the Ayrshire area. Stamped S S to one side and the other side is blank, however I have a similar S S brick which is stamped Southhook to the front – click me – and I am quite certain this is therefore a Southhook brick. Southhook Fireclay Works, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire….
Found at Larkhall, Lanarkshire. Shawsrigg Fireclay and Enamelling Company, Larkhall, Glasgow I think this is a slight variation with regards my other very similar bricks. The middle line appears to be stamped ‘ENL’ for Enamelling and the alignment of the middle line letters is different. The ‘G’ are of a different style to my other…
