Found in dumped rubble at Glenboig. This may read IXIII or IIIXI or indeed looking at the photo it may actually read IXIIII or the reverse of that. These appear to be Roman numerals although they do not equate to an actual number. The manufacturer is unknown. The find location would suggest Scottish origins but…

Apart from the unusual XXX mark, it appears that ‘Southhook’ and ‘Kilmarnock’ are off-centre to each other which again is unusual.
