Scotch Steel brick found in Ontario, Canada

Found by Karen Prytula in an Old Burial Ground, Perth, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.

Most people buried in the graveyard are Scottish and most came to Canada 1816 – 1830.

The maker of this brick is unconfirmed but I do believe the following  manufacturer is a strong contender and the advert below appeared in the Iron and Steel  25th January 1889

Eglinton Silica bricks – Scotch Steel Makers – patent chrome ore bricks and patent alumina bricks – The Eglinton Chemical Company, 27 St Vincent Street, Glasgow.
