This Phenix was found at the Terally Tile Works alongside ‘Forth’s and a baby ‘Campbell’ firebrick.
1907 – 1908 – Campbell & Co, Firebrick Manufacturers, Roughcastle Brickworks, Falkirk. Brick brands Forth, Phoenix and Vulcan. TA Bricks, Falkirk. Represented by R Smellie and Co, 18 Drummond Street, Glasgow. Nat Tel 603 Royal.
I appreciate the spelling is different – unknown if by mistake or design but because it was found alongside other Campbell products then I am certain that this Phenix is also a Campbell of Roughcastle brick.
