Patent Robert Corbert Newlands Glasgow 10

Found at the old Netherfield Chemical Works site, Glasgow.

Robert Corbet & Sons, Newlands Brickworks, Westthorn, Glasgow.

Normally when you see a number in this position its part of a date with the first half of the date at the start of the word ‘Glasgow’ – however I can see not trace of this which in this example would be 1910, so I assume the ’10’ is a code in reference to the tightness of the curve of the brick as it looks like a chimney brick, although you do not notice the curve from the photo below.
