The bricks were used as a floor in a meatworks where they killed beef and pork and boiled it down. There is also a large underground tank made of bricks concreted together.
The other brick in the picture marked Campbell would appear to be a product of James Campbell & Sons, Brisbane. Mr Campbell was of Scottish descent. – click me
(Note – SBH – They could also be a product of the Campbell & Co, Roughcastle Fireclay Works, Bonnybridge, Stirlingshire, Scotland).
