Claynows S Patent

Found in fly-tipping at Stein Manuel Works, Whitecross.

Clayknowes Brickworks, Greenhill, Bonnybridge.

So what does the ‘S’ stand for? Could it refer to ‘Stubal’ as in this Claynows brick?  Interestingly the only additional letter we have seen on the related ‘Greenhill‘ bricks is also an ‘S’.
