This Bald brick should be manufactured by Alexander Bald, Alloa Brick & Tile Works, Alloa, Clackmannanshire. All known bricks marked BALD, are accompanied by the initial ‘A’ – A. BALD. Found by Dr.-Ing. Ralph Bodenstein, Koordination Archaeological Heritage Network (ArcHerNet) – Präsidialbereich, Deutsches Archäologisches Institut, Podbielskiallee 69-71, 14195 Berlin.
