It is part of a fireplace setting that was installed as a display at this Museum in 1965-66. There is, unfortunately, no provenance as to how and why this firebrick ended up in New Zealand. There are no known New Zealand manufacturers that used the stamp ‘Falkirk’ – it is therefore assumed at this time to be a Scottish export,
