Found Stein Manuel Works, Whitecross
Most likely a Stein product and I will record it as such until proven otherwise.
This is a very light porous brick – I presume it is an insulation product along the lines of the GR Stein trade name Selfrac
It appears to have been marked in orange dye – C28?
Found by Ian Suddaby near Ravenscraig, Motherwell. This example is not in my possession. Ian states – It’s a shame the markings on many of these relatively modern basic bricks are so faint.
