This brick is not in my possession but I would love to hear from anyone who may know the whereabouts of a spare one!
Thomson & Sons, Gatelawbridge, Thornhill, Dumfriesshire.
The brickworks site is not exactly known. Thomson owned Gatelawbridge Quarry and it is believed that the bricks were made at a farm situated oppsite the quarry – possibly Hayfield Farm. The bricks were manufactured on a small scale for use by Thomson & Sons themselves and local builders.
