1858 – 1861 – Skellyton Brick and Tile Works. Valuation Roll. Richard Hall, Lessee. J. Litster Asst: Factor. Archibald Beaton, Larkhall Station. This comprises a long shed, a kiln for baking the bricks and a dwelling for the lessee all within the brickfield. It is the property of the Duke of Hamilton, making tiles is the principal trade done here.
