Gartcraig brick found at Burton, BC Canada by Carl & Gail Peter.
This brick was found on Treasure Island about 5km north of Burton on the Upper Arrow Lakes.
Burton is a little community 141km south of Revelstoke on the Arrow Lakes
Scottish settlers lived in the neighbourhood. They flooded the Arrow lakes in 1967 and all communities along the lake were wiped out.

Many thanks to Bruce MacDonald for the following photographs which were taken at The Sunbury Plantation House, St Philip Parish Barbados. All the bricks present were fire bricks and included English manufacturers such as Ruffors of Stourbridge, Cowen of Newcastle and Duddell of Fenton. 90% of the bricks present appear to have been stamped ‘Glenboig’….
