Found by Esther Vincent in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Esther states ‘The Gartcraig bricks that were once part of my chimney and are now part of a retaining wall in my garden. I just finished the retaining wall today and thought I’d fire off these photos for you”.
The yellow bricks on the top of the one wall are all Gartcraig bricks. The Milton brick is from a brickworks here in Ontario and are made from red, Ontario clay.

All the bricks present were fire bricks and included English manufacturers such as Ruffors of Stourbridge, Cowen of Newcastle and Duddell of Fenton. 90% of the bricks present appear to have been stamped ‘Glenboig’….
