The bricks came from a house in Dartmouth Nova Scotia Canada. The occupier states” The fire bricks were in the fireplace of our house which I tore down. I have no idea where the fire bricks came from. It’s a bit of a mystery. I do know that in 1971 when the house was built that the contractor MacFarlane ran out of money while building our house. It’s possible they got second hand bricks to do the fireplace to save money. This is all speculation of course.”
