Rick states – We live in Western Head Nova Scotia Canada in the old Western Head schoolhouse built in 1859. I have a pile of old red bricks behind a tree on the edge of the marsh on our property. My wife notice them last May when we purchased the house. I was doing some yard work today and went over to the bricks and noticed the Gartcraig brick peeking out under one of the red bricks. I pulled it out, washed it off and immediately got on the internet to research my find. I was about to send you a picture of the brick but decided to go back to the pile and have another look. I picked every red brick off the pile and found the Gartcosh bricks in the muddy marsh! I’ve also sent pictures of the schoolhouse from way back in the day and a picture of it now so you can actually place the bricks with its original home. The red bricks were not stamped.
