Celtic

Found in the Broch Burn, Nitshill by Ian Suddaby.

Although this brick is incomplete, it is highly likely that it reads, ‘Celtic’ but it looks like a much earlier version than the other ‘Celtic’ bricks listed on the SBH website.

Unknown maker.

Find location and stamp may suggest Scottish origins but … (Note – SBH – This ‘Celtic‘ brick was found at High Bonnybridge in a pile of brick debris, all from the Bonnybridge Silica and Fire Clay Company so it is highly likely a product of the BSFC Co).

(Note – SBH – I also think this brick may be made by the same makers as the MAC Brand bricks).
