Carty Tile Works; Carty Bridge; Carty Port.
When Graham Douglas was carrying out the survey of Scottish brickworks c.1985 he was given this by an employee at the Carty Tileworks. It is not marked in any way but was made purely as an ornament, probably for a garden planter. The top is a sculptured drainage tile with capped ends and it sits on a half drainage tile. This was not made by the company for selling – it was purely a little sideline of the employee.
