BB XL

Found near to the site of the Bonnybridge Silica and Fireclay Works.

Unidentified maker.

The find location would suggest Scottish origins and BB possibly stands for Bonnybridge or more likely an abbreviation for ‘Bonnybridge Brand’ which was a trademark of the company.

It was found alongside other Bonnybridge stamped bricks.

It has lovely ‘kiss marks to both front and back and has obviously been stacked in the kiln with curved products.
