(Note – SBH – I believe this was manufactured for The Karrena Furnace Engineering Limited).

15/11/1965 – The London Gazette – Karrena Furnace Engineering Limited. At an adjourned Extraordinary General Meeting of the Members of the above-named Company, duly convened and held at 781 Salisbury House, London Wall, London E.C.2, on the 5th day of April 1965, the following Special Resolution was duly passed: ” That the Company be wound up voluntarily, and that Percy Charles Carter, Chartered Accountant, of 29 South Street, Chichester, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator of the Company for the purpose of such winding-up.” (326) L. P. Gibbs, Chairman.

The Company then seems to have been reborn under the same name?

05/12/1965 – Karrena Furnace Engineering Limited was founded on 05/12/1965 and had its registered office in Chichester. The company was dissolved on 12/05/2015 and is no longer trading or active.

Dr Winfried Hartweck is German. The first directorship we have on file for them was in 1995 at Karrena Furnace Engineering Limited. Their newest directorship was with Karrena Furnace Engineering Limited where they held the position of “Managing director”. The company was established 12 May 1965 and is based in West Sussex.

Harley Marshall, ex export manager of the Stein Manuel Works, Whitecross says that the JG Stein Company and subsequent owners had a licence to manufacture furnace arches etc for Karrena Furnace Engineering Limited.
