This must surely be another product of J & M Craig, Perceton Fire Clay Works, Kilmarnock and another fantastic example of a product manufactured in Scotland being stamped with the details of the customer.
Could ‘C’ refer to Craig?
Wm Nelson Jr, New York was an importer and wholesale dealer in sewer and drain pipes.
This pipe would have had an inside diameter of approx. 13 1/2″

Found in the Alloa area. The brick is stamped ‘Wilson’ to one side and ‘Stirling’ to the other. Note the elongated ‘L’ in Wilson. The manufacturer is not known for certain. If, as suspected it is the Bonnybridge Sillica and Fireclay Company, then the reason for the Wilson stamp is unknown. Perhaps Wilson was the…
