Wemyss Brick Co. Works, Methill, Fife.
WBC – Wemyss Brick Company – there is a suggestion from Tam Moffet that the marks following the WBC represent the year and week no of that year, in which the brick was manufactured. The company would work its way through the alphabet and then possibly start again on WBC1 as has been seen. However, no confirmation can be found with regards to this very real possibility and as we have no starting point then we cannot say what letter relates to what year!
