Stein Mag CK

Information below taken from a Stein brochure located within the Falkirk Archives.

Stein Mag CK – is a burned magnesite chrome brick specifically developed for use in the hot zone of rotary cement kilns basic bricks have largely replaced high alumina bricks which were previously standard in the hot zone. The chemical nature of  Stein Mag CK  ensures that reaction with cement clinker is small but there is sufficient reaction to give excellent coatings which are retained during kiln shut downs and restartings.  In today’s high production units, Stein Mag CK is increasingly applied to the transition zone preceding the main burning zone to give balanced lining life.
