Stein 45 DA

Information below taken from a Stein brochure located within the Falkirk Archives.

Stein 45 DA – Modifications to the manufacturing technique have effected a considerable improvement in spalling resistance, while still retaining many of the desirable features of a very hard, strong, superduty firebrick.  AL2O2 43.8 %. The outstanding features of a Stein 45 DA are

1. Very low iron oxide content with immunity to carbon monoxide attack.

2. Good resistance to abrasion

3. High density

4. Good volume stability at 1500 degrees C.

5. Very good spalling resistance

6. Good resistance to slags and alkalis
