I believe this is short for Stein Mullite.
It was found in a Villager log burner at St Austell, Cornwall along with ‘Nettle-D’ bricks which were also manufactured by John G Stein.
Found at the Manuel Brickworks, Whitecross. This is a broken special product. The top, left and right sides are intact and shaped as you see them but it is broken along the bottom edge.
