Scotia brick found in the Province of Quebec, Canada by Hydro-Quebec in Trois-Rivières.

Examples have also been found in Nova Scotia, Canada but my gut feeling is this is a Scottish manufactured brick – I have yet to prove it though.

The name is Scottish in appearance but its origins are in doubt.

Possibility – There is a Scotia & Sneyd Green Brick & Marl Co Ltd, Scotia Bank, Tunstall, close to the site of the old Scotia Colliery. This company is listed in the 1907 trade directory
