Rosehall

Found by Ian Suddaby in the Coatbridge area.

I am not in possession of this example.

This appears to be a fire brick. From the entry below it appears the Rosehall Colliery was mining fireclay between 1910 and 1915 so they may have also been manufacturing a few firebricks at the Rosehall Brickworks around this time.

Rosehall Brickworks, Shawhead, Glasgow. (Known as Addies Brickworks).

Below – 1910 – 1915 – Durham Mining Museum – Rosehall Colliery. Robert Addie and Sons Collieries Limited. (Note – SBH – This suggests that they were mining fireclay between 1910 and 1915).
