This would appear to be a firebrick for a storage heater or similar. ELUX is likely the customer’s name.
GR Stein refractories made such bricks but the only trademark I know they used is Tenemax.
The brick is broken in two along the groove where the heating element would have sat.
(Harley Marshall, who used to work at the Castlecary Fireclay Works, Stirlingshire remembers storage and electric heater blocks being made for Electrolux, Elux and Belling and a heavy, high percentage iron content block called Feolite. All these blocks were marked with the customer’s name and not the manufacturer eg, not Stein etc)
Found at the Manuel Brickworks, Whitecross. This is a broken special product. The top, left and right sides are intact and shaped as you see them but it is broken along the bottom edge. Found in the Alloa area. The brick is stamped ‘Wilson’ to one side and ‘Stirling’ to the other. Note the elongated ‘L’ in Wilson. The manufacturer is not known for certain.
