Below – This is probably the same mark but the ‘D’ and ‘A’ appear to be slighlty smaller and the stamp looks elliptical in shape.
These bricks were found by an unknown party at the long-vanished gold rush town of Fairview, near Oliver, in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Fairview was abandoned by 1919. Found at Glenbuck, East Ayrshire. The manufacturer of this firebrick is unknown. An ‘X’ has been manually inscribed to one face.
