This Castlecary brick forms part of a fireplace of a house built in 1952 at Rosemere, Quebec, Canada. The photo was kindly forwarded by Nasim Mousavi. Castlecary Fireclay & Lime Works, Castlecary, Stirlingshire. It has actually been placed upside down in the fireplace. . . .
Found in Airdrie. I believe this to be a product of the Castlecary Fireclay & Lime Works, Castlecary, Stirlingshire. See below for my thoughts. . . . . This FCS stamped brick was found among many similar marks in a pile of bricks in Airdrie. Also in the pile were Glenboig, Rawyards Glasgow and Glentore…

Found in Larbert. The manufacturer of this brick is unknown. The find location would suggest Scottish origins. The brick was found in a stacked pile in a garden. It was the only one of its kind among other bricks all marked Glenboig, Castlecary or Thistle. I have no doubt it is from the same stable…
