30/06/1882 – Glasgow Herald – At brickwork, Cartyne Quarry on Monday 10th July at 12 noon. Public sale of horizontal steam engine with flywheel, gearing and shafting. Steam boiler by Thomas Ferguson & Son;brick and slated erection, square stalk, clay grinding pan mill with connections; 10 brick barrows, 20 kiln boards, brick moulding table, 136 furnace bars and plates, double brick drying stove and all articles enumerated in the schedule. (under warrant of the Sheriff). Walter John Buchanan of Duncan Keith , Buchanan & McCloy will sell by public auction the above. 23 Drury Street, Glasgow 29/06/1882
