Below – A very similar stamp on a bull-nosed brick with a square frog. The top line is in a slightly different alignment to the bottom line from the stamp above. This was again found near New Cumnock by Ian Suddaby and it is not in my possession.

Canmore Lanemark Brickworks may have been built on the original Afton Brickworks but the 1857 map does not show any works there so it is possible the early Afton Works were situated elsewhere.
