Stein 85 ram mix

This is in the possession of John Ballantyne.

It is a roll of plastic tape.

John states – I think ram mix was the clay mix used to seal the tap hole of the blast furnace after the cast was completed. There was quite a bit of research/trialling done to get the mix ‘fit for the purpose’.
