Polton Patent brick found in Russia

This brick was found by Anastasiya Proshicheva at the site of an abandoned village at Svir River near the settlement called Lodeynoye Pole, District in Leningrad Oblast, Russia.  Her great-grandfather had lived there and she took it with her as a memory of her ancestor. The village was burnt by the Nazis.

Below – A similar stamp on two bricks found by Vladimir Smirnov in a building in St Petersburg, Russia. They were found alongside Walbottle stamped bricks from the NE of England.

Vladimir states – The bricks were in one of the buildings of a water filtering station. It was built in 1874 for purification and ozonation of water by the Waterworks Society of St.Petersburg. The complex was rebuilt several times before and after 1917.
