Garnkirk Patent brick found in Chile

Found by Miguel Roman Vega.

Miguel states – I’m from Chile, specifically from the city of Ovalle, in the Coquimbo Region. About 20 kilometres away, there’s an old copper mine called Tamaya. There are six, 19th-century copper smelters there, and I’ve found some bricks that were reused in the 1970s for bakery ovens in Ovalle.

Garnkirk Fireclay Works, Garnkirk, Lanarkshire.

Stamped ‘Garnkirk’ to the front and ‘Patent’ to the rear.
