Fire Brick Works Gartliston found in Russia

Alexander is an architect and restorer of wooden architectural monuments.

Alexander states – “We are restoring the Zakharov house in Petrozavodsk, Karelia, Russia. The house was built in 1915. Two Dutch ovens have been preserved in it to this day. The stoves used a refractory brick with the brand Fire Brick Works Gartliston. The Dutch ovens were used for heating the upper and lower floors of the house. One Dutch oven has already been disassembled. Dutch oven lined with tiles with a stamp on the back side * Richard Blumenfeld * Velten bei Berlin * Chamotte.”
