1858 – 1861 – Ordnance Survey Name Books – A brick and tile work, with dwelling house attached, former one storey latter two, tiled and in good repair, the property of Sir Archibald Edmonston of Duntreath House, Strathblane.

18/07/1923 – Kirkintilloch Herald – Reference to a bursary being awarded to Balfron School per David McGeachy, Old Tilework House, Killearn. (Note – SBH – I believe the McGeachy family were associated with the tile works from c. 1856 and a David McGeachy was a tile worker/manager up into the early 1900’s?)
