1855 – 1857 – ScotlandsPlaces – Barneight Tileworks. These tileworks, where drain tiles only are made, will in a year or so be destroyed and turned into tillage and the clay pits also filled up. Alexander Woodburn Tenant. The Duke of Portland, proprietor.

Below – 1856 – Barneight Tileworks, Mauchline. The works are disused by 1895.
