L 10 DB 2

Found by Ian Suddaby at the old Atlas and Etna Brickworks site, Bathgate.

This example is not in my possession.

Ian states – An interesting special shape which might have been part of a kiln. Although a bit irregular, it’s 350mm long, 150mm wide and 150mm tall.
Stamped on the side are L10 and DB2. At a guess, L10 shows where it went in the structure during its assembly.

Other ‘DB’ stamps are associated with the Douglas Fireclay Works, Dalry, Ayrshire, so this may also be a Douglas product.
