Found at near Drum Farm, Bonnybridge

Note the ‘G’ has serifs whereas the following letters do not. The final ‘L’ is also out of proportion to the rest of the letters.

These bricks were likely made by the Greenhill Fireclay Works, Bonnybridge. Believed to be sited at Clayknowes and later taken over and renamed the Greenhill Fireclay Company.

Below – Virtually the same stamp without the anomaly to the final ‘L. The letters also appear more uniform and sharper. This is also a wedge shaped example.
