This brickmark and others like it found nearby were all stamped on what appear to be roof tiles/ridges.
A whole one could not be found as yet.

Found by George Kennedy in the Carluke area. I am not in possession of this example. It is stamped with a ‘4’ to one end and it is approx 10″ long. The brick is broken so its exact true shape is unknown. Lee Terra Cotta Works, Braidwood, Carluke, Lanarkshire. . .
