Prestongrange

Found by Adam and Ava Lees in the Jedburgh area.

Prestongrange Brick, Tile and Fireclay Works, Prestonpans, East Lothian.

Usually, the brickmark is Preston Grange – split to 2 lines.

In this example, Prestongrange is all one word

Note the double frog.

Measures 12″ x 5 3/4″ x 3 1/8″ but all measurements can vary by 1/8″ depending on where you measure.

Below – A similar brick found at Vogrie Country Park by Kevin Baird.

It was in a damaged bunded wall that retains the fuel for the greenhouse heating system which might have at one point been coal-fired.
