Found Firth of Forth, Torryburn

Unidentified maker however find location would suggest Scottish origins but…

There were at least 6 of these at the find spot.

The IIII likely refers to the angle of the curved brick and therefore how many bricks are required to make a full circle with a specified diameter.

Below – the same stamp on a curved brick of unusual symmetry. Possibly a different manufacturer from the brick above but again the mark will signify a particular reference to the angle of the curve.  Found North shore of Firth of Forth
